Wim Does studied organ with Harm Jansen, Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin and Ben van Oosten and obtained his diploma Master of Music at the Conservatoire of Rotterdam. Furthermore, he studied Concert Band, Fanfare Orchestra and Brass Band conducting. He is principal organist of the RC St Aloysius church in Utrecht and second organist of the St Augustinus church in Amsterdam since 2010. He is board member for education of the national board of Koninklijke Christelijke Zangersbond. In addition to his own musical practice as a private teacher (organ, piano, keyboard) and arranger, he performs solo organ concerts yearly, both at home and abroad. For instance, he gave concerts in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, Sweden, Spain, Finland, Norway, USA, Italy, Russia (International House of Music, Moscow), Canada (Toronto and Montréal) and France (Orléans, Le Mans). In Paris, he gave concerts among others in the St Trinité, American Church, St Sulpice, École Militaire, St Augustin, St Clotilde,
St Nicholas du Chardonnet and on the house organ of Marcel Dupré in Meudon.
With his wife Susanna Veerman he forms a permanent fourhanded duo on organ, and with her he recorded CD’s at the Saint-Antoine des Quinze-Vingts in Paris and Orléans Cathedral in 2008 and 2010, respectively. In 2013 he recorded a solo CD at the
St Aloysius church in Utrecht with works by among others Buxtehude, Bach, Schumann, Brahms and Rheinberger. In 2013 he received the Diplôme Médaille d’Argent of the French Société Académique d’Education et d’Encouragement Arts-Sciences-Lettres for his services to French organ art. In 2016 he released with his wife Susanna Verman (organ) and pianist Mirsa Adami a cd with salon and symphonic music for organ& piano duet.
